In the scope of the reference
architecture, an eReader is any electronic device which allows to
read. This is a very broad definition. There are at least three types
of devices which correspond to this definition :
Some eReaders are based on ePaper (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronic_paper), other are based on flat panel display (LCD, OLED...) An eReader is also recognized by its ergonomic qualities. It is a device which provides a superior experience for reading electronic documents. In this document it is sometimes referred to the “Applications of ePaper” (origin of the name of the site www.appepaper.com). It means an application or a scenario which makes use of a eReader as one of its important element. See also:
